The mission of the Biz Markie's Just A Friend Foundation is to provide support and resources to children in the foster care system and those experiencing food deprivation. Through our programs and partnerships, we aim to improve the lives of these vulnerable children and give them the opportunity to thrive.
Biz Markie, American rapper, beatboxer, actor, mentor and DJ known for his energetic performances and hit songs such as "Just a Friend" and “The Vapors”. He first gained fame in the 1980s as part of the Juice Crew, a collective of hip-hop artists from New York City. He is also known for his comedic style and often incorporates humor into his music and performances. Biz Markie has released several albums throughout his career and was featured in numerous television and movie appearances such as Men in Black, Yo Gabba Gabba, Blackish and Martin.
